In the spring of 2014, when most people did not yet understand the scale of the threat, a small group of Kropyvnytskyi women set up a tent in the city center - and became the nucleus around which the community rallied. Since then, the “Hearts of Mothers and War Veterans of Kropyvnytskyi” team has been continuously performing three roles at once: a volunteer headquarters, a space for veterans, and a cultural platform that shapes national consciousness.

The phenomenon goes far beyond the boundaries of a “good deed.” This is a systemic, multi-level response of civil society to the challenge of total war. Over 12 years: the veteran volunteer center Krop:Hub, the Mir2.0 art site, the “Creative Volunteers” movement, and a number of national-patriotic projects have been launched. More than $1 million in aid has been transferred to the front; only 200 tons of humanitarian aid were sent in the first 3 months of the full-scale invasion; Over 1,600 events and initiatives were held at Krop:Hub ty Mir 2.0 in the first 3 years; about 5 million UAH was raised by "Creative Volunteers".

The team operates at several levels of healthcare. The formation and delivery of tactical medicine kits directly to the front line saves lives. Evacuating wounded soldiers from the combat zone directly saves human life. Providing humanitarian aid to hospitals supports the region's healthcare system in conditions of resource shortage. Krop:Hub as a veteran space systematically engages in psychosocial recovery: free events, rehabilitation programs. The team forms a "culture of care" in a society that lives next to loss and pain every day.

Also in 2019-2020, the #armor_for_a_doctor_Kropyvnytskyi initiative was implemented during the first wave of COVID: the NGO team was centrally involved in raising funds, purchasing the necessary PPE, and distributing them between hospitals. They also collaborated on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange platform.

The NGO is one of the key volunteer and humanitarian centers of the Kirovohrad region, which has been systematically supporting military personnel, veterans, IDPs, and residents of frontline areas since 2014. The team united military mothers, veterans, volunteers, psychologists, lawyers, heads of social institutions, educational institutions, and caring citizens around a common goal - to help the army and support people affected by the war. The organization has become a symbol of resilience, unity, and civic responsibility. The movement was born from a tent, grew into a public hub, a cultural art space, and a veterans' center. Today, the NGO team is made up of volunteers who have their main jobs, often leadership positions, and despite this, create a strong and responsible community that works on common values. They don't just help the army - they prepare society to meet its veterans with dignity, preserving humanity even in the most difficult times. And this is truly greatness - unpretentious, sincere.
