After the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine faced not only the destruction of cities, but also the destruction of access to medical care. Thousands of people in front-line and de-occupied communities found themselves without doctors, clinics, transport and basic medical services. In response to this challenge, a new humanistic model was formed in Ukraine - mobile medicine, capable of reaching people even where the usual health care system has ceased to exist.

One of the most striking manifestations of this phenomenon was the activity of Mobile Clinics Ukraine. Mobile medical clinics operate as full-fledged autonomous points of care in the most affected regions of Ukraine. They provide primary medical care, diagnostics, treatment, prevention and support to people in communities living under the constant threat of war.

As of today, more than 70 mobile clinics operate in 12 regions of Ukraine, providing assistance to more than 120,000 people in front-line and de-occupied communities. The initiative united the international and Ukrainian community of doctors, volunteers, donors and partners around a common value - preserving human life and dignity even in the most difficult conditions of war.

This phenomenon became not a separate charitable initiative, but a new model of saving lives in war. It combined the Ukrainian experience of resilience with international solidarity and formed a practical response to the humanitarian challenges of the modern world. Mobile medicine proved that even in the most dangerous conditions, human life and dignity remain the highest value.

This phenomenon is directly related to saving lives and restoring access to medical care for people who, due to the war, found themselves outside the usual health care system. Mobile clinics provide primary medical care, diagnostics, treatment, prevention and continuous medical support in front-line and de-occupied communities, where the medical infrastructure has been destroyed, damaged or has become inaccessible.

This phenomenon is of particular importance for supporting the mental and social well-being of people, as it restores a sense of security, human care and dignity even in the most difficult conditions of war. For many residents of the affected territories, mobile medicine has become the only opportunity to receive timely assistance, support and attention.

The Mobile Clinics Ukraine team and its co-founders Lars Vestbjerg and Jakob Dalhoff have become one of the brightest representatives of a new humanistic model of saving lives during war.
