The chaplaincy service of the 118th separate brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces provides systematic spiritual, humanitarian and social support to servicemen and their families. The service has implemented dozens of initiatives to support soldiers on the front line, wounded in hospitals, families of the dead, prisoners and missing.

Chaplains are constantly with the servicemen - they conduct prayers, worship, confessions, pastoral meetings, support the morale of soldiers on the front line and in hospitals. A hotline for psychological and spiritual support has been created for servicemen and their families.

A separate direction has become care for the children of military personnel. Summer and winter camps in Bukovel, Christmas and holiday events, charity events, gift giving, school backpacks, organization of leisure and educational programs have been held. Children of dead, prisoners and missing soldiers are under constant care.

The chaplaincy service also provides the units with the necessary assistance - drones, generators, medical equipment, protective equipment and assistance for military medics have been transferred.

These are not individual initiatives, but daily systematic work that has become a spiritual support for the military, their families and the community of Cherkasy region.

The activities of the Chaplaincy Service of the 118th Separate Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are directly related to the preservation of the psychological and emotional health of servicemen and their family members. Pastoral support, the presence of chaplains in units, hospitals and clinics helps servicemen overcome stress, loss, emotional exhaustion and the consequences of hostilities.

The service supports the families of the dead, prisoners of war and missing persons, works with the children of servicemen, creating a safe environment for them, psychological support and a sense of care. An important part of the activity is also assistance to military doctors and provision of units with medical equipment.
