August 9th is coming, so today we present the latest nominations. Also in detail we will tell about a new nomination - exclusively for foreign citizens.

So, in 2019 in the nomination the "Exemplar of service to society", we have the following contenders for the Medical Oscar:

Father Rohman J. - Chaplain of Ivano-Frankivsk Clinical Center for Palliative Care;

Lipska N.S. - Director of the "Wings of Hope" Charitable Foundation;

Kostyuk S.I. - doctor therapist, head of the department of palliative and hospice care of Lebedin Central District Hospital;

Grechanina O.Ya. - Professor of the Department of Medical Genetics of Kharkiv National Medical University, Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Clinical Genetics KhNMU, General Director of the Interregional Specialized Medical-Genetic Center - Center for Rare (Orphan) Diseases.

We also tell you about a new nomination exclusively for foreign nationals, because every year the Award is expanding and has already become international.

That is why this year the Honorable Council decided to create a separate nomination exclusively for foreign citizens "For personal significant contribution to the development of the healthcare of Ukraine". We bring to your attention representatives from 5 countries:

Klaus Exner - Representative of Germany, Member of the Board of the Association of German Plastic Surgeons (now DGPRÄG) and founding member of the Association of German Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, has been operating children for years at Lviv City Hospital No. 8. Work on the creation of a program for traineeships for surgeons from Ukraine in Germany;

Petro Armani - Italian citizen, Doctor. President of "Alba" Association, Project Manager for "Cystic Fibrosis - Ukraine";

Marianne Pifaretti - Representative of Switzerland, Head of the charitable organization "Help Point Sumy", Founder from the Swiss side of the Sumy Regional Charitable Foundation "Helvetia";

Wojciech Barg - Polish citizen, Professor of the Department of Physiology and Practicing Physician in Pulmonology and Allergology at the Wroclaw Medical University. Organizer of Pulmonology Schools, based at Ternopil National Medical University;

William Novick - American Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon, Founder and CEO of William Novick Global Cardiac Alliance, an international non-profit charity. He has been working in Ukraine since 1994, based on the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.
