A regular meeting of the Honorable Council
On March 6, a regular meeting of the Honorable Council was held at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic University.
In addition to the competitive selection of the Order of St. Panteleimon, we have traditionally heard a report by a member of the Honorable Council on topical social issues. Each member of the Honorable Council has taken on the responsibility of preparing such a topic. This time, a member of the Honorable Council, Rector of NTU "KPU" named after I. Sikorsky, Academician Mykhailo Zgurovsky presented socio-economic scenarios of Ukraine's development in the medium (until 2025) and long-term (until 2030). And all this is purely on a scientific and analytical basis. The scientific forecast of the consequences of the development of the country and society made a deep impression on the members of the Honorable Council. They were convinced that such a tool is extremely necessary for planning the development of the state and assessing the potential risks for Ukraine.
Given the fact that the Honorable Council consists of 5 former members of the National Security and Defense Council, this issue was made a priority. We will do everything possible to bring to our officials the resources and capabilities of our leading Ukrainian analysts.
We are very sorry that the previous request and recommendations of the Honorable Council on the coronavirus have not been fully used, but we hope that further cooperation between the government and the Order will be at the appropriate level to build an independent, democratic, social and legal state.
