A regular meeting of the Honorable Council in the form of a video conference was recently held.
✅The issues of the competitive selection in 2020 were considered. The Chairman of the Honorable Council Vasyl Knyazevych spoke about the possible features of the competition in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
✅The newly elected Chairman and Secretary of the National Expert Commission were introduced to the members of the Honorable Council.
✅The situation with the disease of COVID-19 in the capital was reported by the head of the health department of Kyiv Ginzburg Valentina and the head of the trade union of medical workers of Kyiv Serhiy Kubansky. In general, the capital of Ukraine is organizationally and financially more prepared for a pandemic than the regions of the country.
An important topic was the discussion of the protection of medical workers, as the number of sick doctors is growing. The main thesis of the speech of the Chairman of the Trade Union of Medical Workers Koval Victoria was justified concern for the health of medical workers who, even without being insured, provide assistance and risk their own lives in an epidemic. (EVERY FIFTH SICK IN UKRAINE IS A MEDICINE)
Tatiana Chernyshenko, the head of the Nurses' Association, also supported these fears. Given the second stage of the reform, which was imposed on the epidemic, we can expect a mass layoff of secondary and junior medical staff. Such consequences could lead to the collapse of the medical system of Ukraine.
The discussion also included facts that have a negative perception of the church and society:
- Surrogacy and "sale" of children abroad;
- The criticism of the role of churches in the observance of quarantine measures during the Easter holidays by some state politicians is unfounded.
The Honorable Council decided to prepare an appeal to the government to support medical workers and review the problematic aspects of health care reform.
And most importantly - the competitive selection for the Medical Oscar in 2020 continues!
